Sex Therapy of ED / PE

Sexuality is intrinsic to our natures as human beings. Good sexual health not only leads to a positive self-image, value system and attitude to life, but also a healthy and harmonic sex life.

Sexual dysfunctions, ranging from erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, painful intercourse and insufficient vaginal lubricant secretion, to loss of sexual desire and anxiety, are much related to physical and psychological health.

Sexual health is important to general well-being. According to a survey conducted by Clinical & Epidemiology Research Center, Department of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, on sexual dysregulation in the local population, incidence of having one or more sexual dysregulatory problems for at least 3 consecutive months in the past 1 year, were 50.9% and 53.2%, respectively, among Hong Kong males and females aged 18-59 years. The prevalence of such disorders was linked to increasing age.

The study revealed the high prevalence and severity of sexual dysregulations, which is associated to psychological health and quality of life. The effects of adverse economic situations and stress are reflected from the sex life of local people.

Not only physical and psychological health, sexual problems also lead to deteriorated family life and relationship among couples. Therefore, seeking assistance from sexual health professionals is important; the problems will worsen if left neglected.
